Q. Are there rules for wine tasting?
A. There are no rules, other than that you must be over 19.

Q. Do i need to learn special pronunciations, histories, legends?
A. No, you do not. Not even a little.

Q. Do you serve anything other than wine?
A. Oh yes! As of May, 2024, we’re licensed to make and serve our own unique styles of beer, and we will have both Beer Tastings and Beer-by-the glass.

Q. Are there lineups?
A. No. At Harwood. a reservation guarantees a seated, unrushed experience.

Q. Is it expensive?
A. Tastings average about $2 each at Harwood.

Q. What if some of us are expecting, or don’t drink wine?
A. Harwood has free beverages for Mom’s-to-be, dedicated drivers and people younger than 19 (accompanied by adult customers). There are also gourmet Mocktails at reasonable prices for non-wine-drinkers who want something really special.

Q. Do we need a separate resevation if we stay to order food?
A. Never.

Q. Are kids allowed? How about pets?
A. Yes and yes. And we have a little something for the kids and the pets, with your permission :o)

Q. Do you only serve samples of wines?
A. Harwood is licensed to serve full glasses of wine (Wine-by-the glass) and full glasses of beer (Beer-by-the-glass.)

Q. How much time should we plan for?
A. A wine tasting…at least 40 minutes. If you order from our food menu, or have wine-by-the-glass, about an hour-and-a-half.

Q. Do you have tours of the winery and vineyards?
A. We can pre-arrange tours for groups of ten or more. On the other hand, your wine tasting does take place right in the heart of the action, within feet of the vineyards, amongst all the winemaking equipment. And we love talking about growing grapes and making wine.

Q. What is the travel time between wineries in The County?
A. Rough estimate, about 10 to 15-minutes as long as you stay with wineries that are fairly close together on the map ( https://recommended.tours/pec/ ). The County is a lot bigger than it looks and there are several clusters of great wineries…each cluster worthy of an entire visit if not several visits!

We’re OPEN from 11 AM to 6 PM every day for indoor, seated wine tastings, in-store shopping and purchase, curbside pickup and telephone or online ordering.
